Korea: heated floors and insane bus/cab drivers

ah, so the intrepid and amazing adventures of Jubei have now come to a temporary end in that place of neverending soju and where one's wallet is always full because Korea costs NOTHING

amazing stories were traded
amazing foods were consumed amazingly
amazing quantities of laziness were neither frowned upon nor condemned, but praised and vigorously indulged in (and a cheer rose up from the crowd)

Asiana airlines is a fabulously run airline...rather delicious food, rather good looking airline hostesses who are fluent in at least 3 languages, an unexpectedly smooth and enjoyable flight both ways was had (as opposed to Air Bollocks, sorry, Air Canada...die die die)

Korea is excellent in that it, as a country, as figured out what winter is...it acknowledges that in winter, the temperature must drop significantly and be distinctly nicer (read: colder) than other periods during the year...Korea also valiantly and courageously attempts to participate in the wintry ritual of snowfall, albeit with limited success...judging from the above criteria, I give Korea a passing grade in regards to winter...Japan however has much to learn before I will assign a mark of greater than or equal to 40% (F)...Furthermore, Japan will be held over until it shows more initiative in regards to winter...until then, I suggest that we question its dubious claim to be considered a real "country"

a word about driving in Korea:
use only a scooter...their are no rules to what they can or cannot do, or at least, any such rules are ignored completely...and everyone is okay with this...
*note: driving scooters in the winter is extremely cold (but cold makes one feel alive, so it's okay)

the bus drivers in Korea cause the bus to lurch as if there were a crippled midget behind the wheel, honking the horn with continuous glee, often while talking on their cellphones in an angry manner...interesting bus rides were had, to say the least

an excellent week was had in a new part of Asia

Korea, I thus salute thee!
